Fall in New England

Fall in New England Ring

This is one of my latest creations. I made this ring from copper and gold polymer clay. It was the first time I had ever used polymer clay.

I had bought some clay a while ago to try and had never gotten around to using it. Then this idea arose. I think it turned out rather well.

I was inspired to create this ring by my friend, Jenn, also known as stilettoheights. She grew up in New England, and as of late, has been homesick for it. She said it was because of the fall. I suddenly had this idea.

I fashioned the band of the ring out of gold polymer clay. I think it has the look of wood from a distance. I hand-formed the copper clay leaves and attached them to the band. After baking, I applied a clear coat. It is a dainty ring that would look beautiful on a pinky or index finger. This one is a size 6-6.5 but I can also custom size one. You can currently find this ring in my etsy shop. Posted by Picasa
