RIP

Well, I had originally planned to do an edition of Home Improvement Roundup, but I decided to dedicate this blog post to the memory of my dead tumbler.

She wasn't pretty. She wasn't expensive and didn't have a fancy brand name, but she was my tumbler. I didn't realize how much I relied on her until she stopped working. In fact, the cuff in the picture was tumbled. Just about everything I work on goes in the tumbler. I have tumbled copper, silver, and gemstones in that little tub. I am very sad.

It was tragic to find that she had seized up yesterday with a load of new pieces needing to be tumbled. Tears were shed. I suppose it was a good thing that I had money to spend on a new one, and luckily I found one on sale. So, I upgraded slightly to a larger, two tub machine, but nothing will replace tumbler #1.

R.I.P., my dear tumbler. Know that I appreciate all you have done for me, and nothing will truly replace my first tumbler.

RIP
