birds

Thanks to those of you that hearted and checked out the shop yesterday. I really appreciated it. I am frequently updating it so I can get things in the shop and find the right time to list. Last night I listed those pretty gemstone flower beads I found in my stash.

If you read my blog last year, you might be familiar with my trials and tribulations of birds in my chimney. I think I might have another bird in the chimney. The problem is this time it must be stuck in the actual chimney because I can't see it or get to it. It could also be just a piece of the chimney flapping around making noise. I am torn as to what it is. I'm going to feel awful if it's a bird because no one can get to it to get it out.

I keep hoping that he will figure out how to get out. I mean, he got in on his own, didn't it? Then sometimes I think it is just the flu or whatever rattling around. The house is falling apart, and I haven't been able to get to remodeling that part of the house. Steve says he's checked and fixed the guard around the chimney. I don't know how they keep getting in. Maybe it's not even a bird, but some animal.

Okay. I'm freaking myself out now. I'm going to be terrified to go in that room now.

My mom had a squirrel come down her chimney once (and run all through the house...)

Hope you get it figured out!

I notice two words were left out of my comment yesterday...hmmm...I'll blame it on West Coast early mornings and lack of coffee...

Love your dragonfly ring! Let us know how things go with the chimney cricket!

Oh, I hope it's not another bird! I also hope it's not a chunk of your chiminey getting ready to bail.

We have a piece of slate covering ours--it's raised up on posts, but nothing has ever gotten in. We also have glass doors so I don't worry about them getting in the house.

Now, if we could just stop mice from getting in the basement!

I hope it is just a bit of chimney flapping around, what a nightmare. I hope it sorts itself out for you

I hope it's not a bird or any other animal but until you figure it out, I'll hope for your own peace of mind. I understand how stressful & scary it could be to hear but not be able to help. Hopefully it'll resolve itself soon.

That's no fun! In our area, we have starlings that nest in dryer vents. It's really weird - we had a BIG nest in the vent tubing when we cleaned it out. Amazing there aren't more fires. Stupid birds.
