Well, who knew "I'm not going to take it anymore day" was just what we needed?! Perhaps we should do that once a month whether it's the holiday or not. The blog was more than happy to be a punching bag for a day.
Oh, one thing before I get to my real post for today. If you have all of a sudden been getting my feed when you were getting them before, I apologize. It appears Blogger hates me sometimes and decided to switch my feed links. I have remedied the situation and so far so good. I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Onto Thursday's post.... As I've said, I plan my bloggy month in advance. It just helps to get my thought processes down, and I'm not scrambling for ideas. I do leave days open for ideas that just come up or whatever. Today happens to be one of those days so I thought I would rather the method behind the madness.
Inspiration for my pieces comes easy enough. I find inspiration in nature, architecture, even headlights on cars. I love when the big car show rolls around, and I can get a glimpse of the prototype cars. Not kidding. I even carry a little notebook around with me for such moments when an idea walks up and slaps me on the back of the head. Even my customers give me inspiration with their custom pieces.
Then we move onto the times when I have the inspiration, but I'm not really sure how I want to use it. I am a member of the artist site, Ebsq. Each month they have shows based on different things. This month one of the shows is Alice in Wonderland/Through the looking glass. You make things based on one or both of these books. I'm loving this, but the problem is I'm so inspired I'm not sure what I want to do. I'm thinking a tea and crumpets ring, but is there anything else? There are just so many images floating around in this mushy brain of mine. What would you do? or What's your favorite part of the book? Maybe my lovely blog readers can help with my dilemma.
They are also having another show which corresponds with a line of jewelry I've been toying around with wanting to do. Their show is State Flowers, and I've been wanting to do a whole line designed just around flowers. There are so many beautiful flowers. I could seriously do a line like this my whole life and not do every flower. I had such fun with my magnolia earrings, and they were such a big hit. I know I'm asking for a lot of help, but what is your favorite flower and/or your state flower?
Well, I suppose that's enough rambling for one day. I must be off and filling the world with copper jewelry.

lol! All very good ideas, but the mad hatter's hat is really inspiring me right now. Going to break out the notebook. Thanks, Diva!
I love the foget me not flower. It is so pretty and has meaning to me. Plus it is the Alaska state flower.
yes, i like the im not going to take it...
sort of like the muses roast and toast...but more visceral :)
Oh do forgive me please! the button issue has been solved. Now explain "close" geographicaly? Or in our own little worlds.. (crazy laughter)
My favorite part as a kid was when the Cheshire (sp?) cat is just a set of eyes and a big grin...
My favorite flower is hibiscus which I'm pretty sure is Hawaii's...
How've ya been?

Ooh, thanks, JenSue! Forget me nots are like the forgotten flower. They are so pretty, but a lot of people just don't think about them. And, now I've learned something new.
It was fun, Muse, wasn't it?! I could never compare to your blog though.
Nat! How I have missed you and your blog! Oh, you just gave me a rockin idea. Seriously a really good idea. I LOVE the hibiscus. It's so beautiful. My father bought me a bush when I was younger, but it died. I might just have to get a new one this year. If my gardenia survives indoors, then it could too. lol.
Wow, I don't even know my state flower but my fav is orchids. And there are so many different types of those so that's no help. And cala lillies are beautiful!
I love anything lily! So they are a must. Orchids do help. I've put them on my list. I've always wanted one, but I'm afraid I would kill it.
Hmm, in Queensland, the state flower is the Cooktown Orchid
I do love the Cheshire cat!
You've got some GREAT stuff!

I think magnolias make great flowers for jewelery. Plus they smell wonderful. Some of my favorite flowers would look awkward and weird. I am a botanist in California and one of my favorite natives is the California Pipe vine. But it would look odd hanging off someones ear.
Just had to come over and let you know how kind you were to help me through my mini blogger crisis :)...it is so much appreciated :)
WOMAN YOU WON MY APRON.. the gloves is off chickie. .ha ha ha.. congrats babe.
Wait till I post about my new items for the box! I kicked butt at Super Fresh today...(((shaking the hiney)))
Our state flower is the rose.
I like the mad hatter idea, too!
I've been toying with making a flower of the month for my shop.
The magnolia earrings are truly amazing. Love them!
Happy Monday to you! It looks like your creative side is in full swing.
the magnolia earrings are very lovely! here in the Philippines, our national flower is sampaguita - a beautiful white flower that has a fragrant smell.
Oh, how lovely! Those are beautiful flowers. Thank you for the tip, Juwelen!
