I Never Claimed to be a Coupon Diva...

but I am the equivalent of a coupon diva when it comes to clothes shopping. It's true. There are very few times when I have paid retail for anything. Sometimes it's luck. Sometimes it's not. Let's take for example my last shopping extravaganza- Kohls. I bought 5 tops, 1 pair of pants, a jacket, and two skirts which normally would have totaled $347.99, but everything I bought was on sale so it ended up totaling $142.44. Then I did some research and found a coupon for 20%OFF and free shipping which brought it down to $114.75. Then I proceeded to whip out the gift card I had to drop my final cost to 46.64. Oh, yeah!

Now you may be saying that you don't normally have gift cards, but you could. I'm going to tell you some secret sales sites, sale alerts, and places to get gift cards. So, without further adieu, Miss Jewel's lucky links to discount shopping....

First, is a fantastic sales site called ideeli. I have some amazing sales on here from people like Gucci, Michael Kors, as well as some terrific giveaways like Oscar de la Renta. Yes, some of it is going to be high priced, but others are very reasonably priced. Check it out if only for the giveaways. It is by invitation only, but just follow this link for my invite.

Next is Shopittome a sales alert site. You can pick out all the retailers or clothing companies that you would like to see sales for. Then twice a week they'll send you an email letting you know what they have on sale. If there aren't any sales, then no email. I found out about a sale at New York & Company where I got a pair of $30 shorts for $7.99. Gotta love that. I would love it if you'd use this link to sign up. After ten friends sign up, I get a gift card. You can then do the same. Email me if it doesn't work, and I'll send another.

Onto the gift card sites. My Points is a great little site where you can earn points then turn them in for gift cards. You can do searches through them or sign up to get emails for points or print coupons for groceries to earn points. I'm saving up for a big card. Not sure where yet though. You can email me for a referral, and yes, I get points, but you don't have to. No invite required.

Last, but not least is Swagbucks. It is another search engine point site. No toolbars to install or anything like that. You can go to the site and use their search bar to search for something. Sometimes you get points and sometimes you don't. If you follow them on twitter, you can find hidden swagbuck codes. Currently, I'm saving up for a QVC shopping card or a Saks fifth ave card, but they also have Iphones and Ipods and stuff.

When you're shopping online, don't forget to do a search for coupon codes. There are a lot of them on the internet, and it never hurts to save more money. See? I'm really just a fashionista at heart.

I don't even look at clothes that aren't on sale. I always make out like a bandit at Kohl's, too. Haven't tried out any any of those sites yet, though - thanks for sharing!! :D

In the UK we have vente-privee.com which is pretty good, although takes a while for your order to arrive. Worth a look though! Use my email as your sponsor if you want to check it out: djc229@live.com

I am so disgusted. Bought a cute suit in Feb at Beall's. Seemed like a steal, just under $40. Somehow, the bill was misplaced. They added finance charge, plus $25 late charge, and we paid over $64 for that silly suit. And they said NO FORGIVENESS!!

I'm looking for deals. NOT BEALL'S EVER AGAIN!!!
