Well, we're a little over halfway through January. I guess it's time to sit down and contemplate my business goals for 2007. I figure if I write them down then they will be out there for the world to see, and I won't be able to just ignore them.
It's good to have goals. They give you something to work for and a great sense of accomplishment when they have been achieved. Goals force you to take a closer look at yourself and your business. I read once it is better to make year long goals then make monthly goals. The monthly goals are what you do to get to the year long goal. So here it goes.
My goals for this year:
I want to have between 150-200 sales this year on Etsy.
I want to have 300 hearts by the end of the year.
I want to add another 5 wholesale/consignment contracts to my accounts.
So, now you ask how am I going to achieve my goals. Notice I didn't make too many goals. I made just enough to give me motivation but not so many that they aren't achieveable. First, I'm going to have to promote, promote, promote. I'll need to find really nice places to advertise and advertise in gift guides at the high points of the selling period. I'll need to list daily. Maybe even more than once. I'll also need to get off my behind and actually find some places to wholesale and consign to that fit my jewelry style. I really hope to step up with my business plan and goals this year. I love what I do, and in the saturated field of jewelry, I need to be on the ball. I'm determined I'm going to achieve my goals for the year. What's your goals for the year?
