We still have hot water in case you were wondering.
Hooray! Finally, I have finished a challenge on time and maybe even slightly early.
I had a little help from Jenn coming up with this week's challenge idea. It was to create something inspired by what you wanted to be when you grew up. Well, I always wanted to be a fashion designer. Yes, it's true. I had sketchbooks upon sketchbooks of designs. I still, to this day, create clothing designs. I suppose, in a way, I have become what I wanted to be. That's actually kind of fun to think about. Anyway, I designed the hairpiece you see in the picture for the challenge. I figured fashion designers create fashion and trends so why not create a designer piece?! With a bride in mind, I created copper swirls that will frame an upswept hairstyle or, when the swirls are worn down, will be lovely with a longer hairstyle. I added gold freshwater pearls along the center swirls and across the top of the piece. Surprisingly, it turned out just the way I wanted. I have plans to create matching earrings and perhaps a matching necklace. Because I used pearls, I can even take custom orders. This will be found in my shop later today.
Be here tomorrow because I will finally be revealing my 10 little known facts as I was tagged by both Jenn and Gillian. Does that mean I should do 20 facts? Also, as it is 1 week until my first anniversary at Etsy, I will be offering 25% off to anyone who mentions anniversary when checking out. Plus, if you are my 100th sale, I will send you a surprise gift. I'm hoping to make it to 100 sales by my anniversary.

Congrats on your upcoming etsyversary!
I love the beauty & romance of this piece. Your design is elegant and fun and so versatile! It's great that you can wear it different ways. I look forward to seeing the matching pieces!
Oh, my god, that is beyond beautiful!!!!!!!!!
blown away, totally!
Oh I adore that piece! That is it - when I get married I want you to design my hair decoration! copper would go perfectly with my reddish blonde hair....
and congrats on your upcoming etsy anniversary! I shall have to visit your shop again. I have had my eye on a ring for an age and am worried it will go before I get the trade piece finished (which I am working on painfully slowly I am afraid...)
