Yesterday, my mom, my daughter, and I went to the free ORBC fall festival. It's like a carnival held as a safe alternative to trick or treating. There's games, bouncy rides, kids fingerprinting, and photos, and everything is free!
Costumes are optional, but in the case of these lovely ladies, you go all out if you wear one. These are my kind of people. How fantastic were they for letting a complete stranger take their pic?!
Who do you think I had trouble with about the photos? This is how that conversation went:
Me: We're going to get our pics taken next.
Mom: Go ahead.
Me: No, I meant all of us including you.
Mom: But, I don't want my pic taken. (slightly whining now.)
Me: But, it's free.
Mom: Do I have to?
Me: Yes, so we can have the three of us together.
Mom: I'm wearing my sunglasses.
Me: No, you're not.
Mom: I'm going to look like this....(proceeds to make a funny face.)
Me: You'd better not. Now behave.
Pics were finally taken and should arrive in a couple of weeks. She better be smiling.
Speaking of carnivals make sure you check out Fractured Toy for a bloggy carnival and a chance to win a Kooky Klicker.

This sounded like so much fun!
I haven't been to a carnival in ages.
Looks like ya'll had a great time.
WOW It looks so warm and pretty there.. I can't wait to see how your mother looks in the pic!!
I have that same bad habit. When my nieces were making their scrapbooks of their summer with me to take back home there was one pic of me...from the whole summer...and I was making a weird face...lol.
I'm starting to just chill and smile now but its hard.
You have to promise to show the photo when it arrives!
