Did you miss me?! I have been so busy the last few days. I'm going to need a serious vacation by mid-March.
I've been babysitting for my cousin off and on for the last couple of weeks and probably more next week. My aunt usually does it for him, but she had surgery and can't pick the baby up. He is the sweetest thing and sooo cute. One of these times I'll remember to bring my camera. I know. I'm such a bad blogger at times.
Then, since I cannot wait until warm weather, I've been doing some inside gardening. Here is my sort of succelent garden. The plants aren't all succelents (not much selection in my area) and kind of mish mashy, but I like it. It's in a vintage porcelain basin that lost it's pitcher at some point. My dad gave it to me, and I couldn't part with it so I had to find a use for it. Plus, it makes a perfect home for my sparkly black skull.
And, there is the cleaning. My dad, again, talked me into buying this amazing vintage drafting table. Solid wood and gorgeous. It's my new worktable. I've been wanting one of these drafting tables for years. I just love the look, and it's so perfect for my needs. But, I had to seriously clean my makeshift workroom to get it in there past my current horrendous and huge table. Isn't it fantastic?! Ignore the mess. Remodeling. That's all I'm going to say. ;)
The Mad Hatter ring orders are almost all caught up after their press. Wish me luck as I'm making things for gift bags for the USC Fashion Show. I've got to have them in the mail by next week. Let's hope everyone likes them!
So, what have you been up to?

Hi there cutie! Thanks for the comment on the sculpture ... what I DID NOT tell anyone is that a mere minute prior to snapping the photos I got my right foot stuck in a soft spot of ground cover, stumbled, fell onto the concrete sidewalk and wondered just what I might have broken. I had hip replacement surgery in Jan 08 and worried that somehow I had knocked it out of place. Not to worry, other than very sore knees and a somewhat bruised camera I got up and kept on walking. A mother with two small children witnessed the whole thing and were so helpful .. asking if I needed help, should they call someone. I didn't want to frighten the children so I took the opportunity to tell them "See? I'm just fine! And I'm not going to cry!" They all laughed.
Love the table!
The link is now fixed on my post.
