Wish I could Fly

I do. Not like airplane flying. More like grow wings and soar like a bird flying. That's why these pics are my favorites for this week.

It's Friday and that means Phriday Photo Phiesta over at Candid Carrie's. I was looking through my pics and decided on these because of that whole wanting to fly feeling.

Sometimes you get lucky and get shots like this Harvest Moon or the sunset that looks like a Monet painting. It just makes me want to fly. I want to fly like a bird or Superman and just soar through the clouds.

I've always had this fascination. In the summer as a storm approaches, I like to stand out in the wind with my arms raised head towards the sky eyes closed and let the wind wrap around me. Birds always look so happy when they are just gliding along.

I imagine flying is a very freeing experience.

Wouldn't it be nice to just lift off and fly over it all? Great photos.

Those pictures should be blown up and placed on a wall. I could stare at them all day.

Great pics.

I want to fly too. I used to dance; that's the closest I'd ever come to flying!

The luck of the bird to have the wing beneath their wings. (A little Bette for you...) I didn't start off thinking about that song...it just slipped out.

Your photos are beautiful. I'm sure it was just a little piece of the actual beauty.

I started a giveaway today...check it out. :D Happy Friday!

Miss Jewel,

These pictures are breathtaking. I feel the same way you do sometimes, just to be part of nature. We have a swing up at the lake that hangs from a tree. As you swing forward, the ground starts to slope down & this is the closest feeling I have had to flying. I love that swing!!

Thanks for a beautiful post...

I love love love your new look!

What a beautiful pic. Can you imagine soaring through that like an eagle? Ahhhh.

Tell dad to hang in and make sure to EAT even when he doesn't feel like it. Sweetie choked down food many times although he had no interest, only to find it did help him feel a little better. I will keep you all in my prayers!

Beautiful photos!

I would love to fly, too.

I have a wicked bad urge to travel right now...and not being able to afford flights is seriously hindering those possibilities. Let's make a deal...if either one of us learns to fly we'll take the other one on mini-vacays?! K?

I am sorry I have not been over to see you in a few weeks, but I have been stretched thin!! I love your new site look. Very nice and slick! The pictures you posted today are great too. I am loving the sunsets these days. It's hard to capture just right.

I can see all is well and I hope you're still loving your apron!
