Parent Child Bonding with a game of Punch Buggy

A conversation about how I taught my Mini Me to play Punch Buggy. Remember that game? You loved it if you were the one spotting the "bugs" and hated it if you were the one who was never fast enough spotting one.

(driving to Baltimore)

Me: Punch buggy red! (with a spontaneous turn around and light punch to the leg as she is sitting right behind me)

Mini Me: What the heck?!

Me: Punch buggy red.

Mini Me: What the heck is that?! I'm trying to eat.

Me: It's a really fun game. If you see a bug, you holler Punch buggy whatever color and you punch the other person playing.

Mini Me: I don't get it.

Me explains further.

(25 minutes later....)

Me: Punch buggy blue! (spontaneous turn around and light punch to the leg)

Mini Me: Seriously.... What the heck?!

Me giggling uncontrollably....

(60 minutes later....)

Me: Punch buggy white! (spontaneous turn around and light punch to the leg)

Mini Me: I hate this game....

(on the way home)

Me to Mr. Man while Mini Me is sleeeping: Wonder if she would be mad if I played now?

Skip to a week later and a trip to St. Michaels....

Me: Punch buggy teal! (spontaneous turn around and light punch to the leg)

Mini Me: I've really had enough...

Such good times! I love teaching my child to play new games....
